Gravity's Rainbow

For some reason I find this footage of model rocket launches to be oddly compelling. I think the weird whistling noises the rocket makes are part of it. I used to launch estes rockets back in the day & I would have gone apeshit if I'd been able to put a camera in the rockets. If you've never launched a model rocket, at the end of the engine burn, a charge fires up into the body of the rocket, ejecting the nose cone and parachute. That's the popping noise you see halfway through the footage, about the time the camera starts spinning around. The best footage, I think, is the one labeled "Look out! Corn!"
