Extras
Just saw the first episode of Extras; it looks like it might be as good as The Office, if a lot less relatable. The episode features Ben Stiller (as himself) directing some sort of epic about Bosnia; he blows up at the guy the story he's filming is based on ("Will you shut up about your fucking dead wife for once?") and fires an extra who says he shouldn't yell at the guy. Ricky Gervais's character Andy Millman comes to her defense, which prompts the following exchange:
|
Ben Stiller: And who are you?Which isn't as observational or realistic as The Office but is still pretty damn funny. I'm looking forward to seeing the rest of it. (And yes, there's plenty of Office-style incredibly painfully awkward stuff as well).
Andy Millman: Nobody.
Ben Stiller: What?
Andy Millman: Nobody.
Ben Stiller: Exactly. And who am I?
Andy Millman: Either Starsky or Hutch, I can never remember.
Ben Stiller: Was that supposed to be funny?
Andy Millman: You tell me, you were in it.
